Supporting Local Charities with Essential Drainage Services

Andersons have always believed in giving back to the community, and our charity work is a testament to this commitment. By providing essential services free of charge, Andersons help support the incredible work carried out by local charities.

Two organisations we support are Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) and The Willow Trust.

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW): Grease Trap Kitchen Waste Removal

Children’s Hospice South West is a lifeline for families facing the challenges of caring for children with life-limiting conditions. Charlton Farm, one of CHSW’s three hospices, is set in a tranquil location in North Somerset. It offers a sanctuary where families can find respite, create special memories, and access expert care in a warm and compassionate environment.

Andersons contribute to the smooth running of Charlton Farm by emptying the kitchen grease traps free of charge as and when required. This vital service ensures that the kitchen can continue operating efficiently, providing meals and comfort to families in need.

The Willow Trust: Sewage Drainage Services

The Willow Trust provides unforgettable experiences for disabled and seriously ill children and adults. Based in Gloucestershire, they offer free day trips on accessible river barges, allowing individuals and their carers to enjoy the peace and beauty of the waterways in a safe and welcoming environment. These trips create moments of joy and relaxation, which can be life-changing for many.

During the peak season, Andersons step in every two weeks to empty sewage from two river barges on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal near Gloucester. This essential service helps The Willow Trust maintain their high standards of hygiene and ensures the barges remain fully operational for their guests.

Making a Difference Together

By supporting CHSW’s Charlton Farm and The Willow Trust, Andersons demonstrate the power of local businesses collaborating with charities to make a meaningful difference.

Their contributions not only ease operational burdens but also enable these organisations to focus on what truly matters: providing care, joy, and support to those who need it most.

Together, Andersons and these charities prove that acts of kindness, big or small, can transform lives and create lasting impact within the community.
